Whiskers and peonies and rainbows and...

Here are just a few of my favorite things: New family members- aren't they so cute?? The brown one is named Cookie, and the white one is....wait for it......wait for it......Cream!! They are really fun, and are the beginning of what I hope will be a little money earning project. They are only 3 months old.

I love the one week of the year that I get to enjoy these:

I think that we should get at least 2 weeks of these beautiful peonies.

These are also some of my favorite spring sightings:

Okay, so ignore the backyard landscaping project- I am trying to show the gorgeous spring wheat, especially with the sprinkler on it- nothing like a homemade rainbow to brighten the afternoon!
Spring is fulfilling and exciting and rejuvenating. After the long winter of brown and more brown, tender green shoots breaking through the crust reaffirms my faith and hope in a better day.

I am reading a book called "The Heretic's Daughter". It is about the time of the Salem witch trials, and how it looked through a young girl's eyes. The online reviews made it sound boring, and difficult, but so far, I can't put it down. Next up: The Poisonwood Bible. Wish me luck and hous of fun!

I am still working on the weight issue- so far I have lost 60 pounds since I started the program in October- and dropped 6 sizes. It is a lot of work, but so very worth it! Yesterday, I was able to lift a 50lb tire- no sweat! Whhoooooo Hooooooo!!! Yea for me!! And many thanks to my awesome hubby and kids who are extremely patient and supportive looking out for me with such tactful questions as "Mom, are you sure you want to put that in your mouth?" Health wise, I am 100% back to normal- fully recovered from the surgery. I love excercising at the gym, and have started a little horseback riding. I guess I never realized all the work your body is capable of doing until my ability has increased so much. It is truly a miracle that our Father in Heaven has given us. I am in awe and am deeply indebted to Him.

And last- I am again behind on my circle journal. This one is supposed to be about a woman from the Bible that has changed my life, and I can't decide. One day it is one, the next another. With so many strong, spiritual, influential women to choose from the decision is very difficult. Any ideas? My frontrunners are Rachel/Leah, Eve,Deborah, and Mary Magdalene. Who will it be? Who has been your example?

What a fun post Viki. You look fabulous.

I'm glad you gave me the heads up on the next circle journal. I forgot about that one. Hmmmm....so many great women.

Seriously, you look amazing!! I am soooo proud of you! Every pound is such a fabulous accomplishment. It is a toss up as to which is the greatest reward; how you look, or how you feel! Both are STUPENDOUS!

I am soo missing my basin spring! Everthing here is just starting to green up- and the stubborn weather isn't paying any favors, either. I'm so proud of you! You are a huge inspiration to me every day! PS: My favorite bible woman is Ruth.

Much Love,
Joss
